Humphrey has been singing for as long as he can remember. He started singing seriously at the age of seven as a chorister and went on to the be the youngest ever member of Laudibus, The National Youth Chamber Choir as well other top national choirs during his teens. He was awarded music scholarships to Greshams school and The University of Kent, Canterbury where he was lead soloist in a number of semi professional productions and international tours. During these years he also sang rock and roll with his old band Instant Karma which he recently resurrected for his 30th birthday party!

In 2003 he was awarded a scholarship to The Royal Academy of Music. Since leaving in 2005 he has done a range of singing work including performing opera with companies such as Glyndebourne, acting in documentaries for BBC 2, opera films with channel 4 as well as recording with Universal Records and Hayley Westenra on her platinum selling disc Treasure. He also loves singing rock and roll and swing which he does as much as he can outside of work!

He joined Blake in 2009, two years into their journey. Soon after this, Blake Records was created and they made their first independent album, Together.

“Being in Blake is a dream job. We are so lucky to be great friends and love performing and travelling the world together. I love and listen to so many styles of music and it’s great to sing such a variety with Blake. We have so much ahead of us and I can’t wait for what lies around the corner. We could not have done it without the support of our great fans. Bring on 2012!!!

>Humphrey is a keen sportsman and when not on stage can be found skiing, sailing, mountain biking, wake boarding……. and anything else active!!! He is also very lucky to have a wonderful supportive family who have been there every step of the way.
